Frank's house

So, it's not really a trip to Chicago without seeing at least one thing built by Frank Lloyd Wright, right?  I find it strange that so much fabulousness is overlooked in the rush to pay homage to a man who valued design and ego over good engineering.  But his home and studio, representing his early departure from the prevalent styles of the day, while still relying on it, is deeply appealing on many levels.  The dark paint, and the home's lo slung Queen Anne profile just ooze a cozy House of Seven Gables charm.  So photos....  I even paid the extra 5 dollars to take them legally, you're welcome!

    1. Hi Meg in the farmhouse from Meg in the Victorian! It was amazing, thank goodness for a conference in a place worth going to. And the best houses are yet to be posted

  2. Frank Lloyd Wright was way ahead of his time when it comes to architecture. His contribution towards the heritage of Chicago cannot be overooked or overstated.
